Nature in a suburban backyard

incredible, I had no idea they had such abilities, I did think the raccoons could.
beautiful profile photo
Fantastic, you are very brave.
Being a wildlife artist and former taxidermist, I appreciate all of the critters, even the stinky ones...there is a quiet beauty in their soft demeanor.
BTW...of course there will never be enough space in my lil' studio/shop, but I'm very good at making use of every inch. This will be interesting though how I pull it off...today we paint the inside, then the magic begins...as I try to figure out the heat situation with winter creeping ever so near!
Have a great weekend playing with yer critters!

ha! i never realized skunks were so dexterous!!! great little story!! isn't nature grand??!! :]
I'd have thought it would be the racoons who would be able to get the top off rather than the skunk. Another interesting observation about those lovely critters.

I'm in awe.
A lot of people don't like Skunks. I caught 2 back in the "60's and kept them in a cage for over a week..tended them and never got sprayed. I wanted to keep them as pets..have the scent gland removed etc...after keeping them for awhile I didn't have the heart to remove them from the wild..and let them go. we don't have them here in FL..I miss them.
