He/she would love our pecan trees.
Now that must be fun to watch. We have pecan trees in the back and lots of squirrels. Unfortunately, they tend to get a little rude, but they are still entertaining.
Oops! I forgot to mention the time that I watched one from my office window at the university. It was dragging a huge portion of pizza from the ground up to its nest in a big cherry laurel tree. The pizza remains were bigger than the squirrel. I had to go to class before I got to see if it managed to get the pizza into the nest, but never saw any signs of pizza on the ground after I returned. I still wonder if and how the squirrel got that big hunk of pizza into the nest.
great picture!! i love those little creatures!! they're fun to watch...and seem very determined & mischievous too. sometimes as i'm strolling around out back...minding my own business...looking for cool pictures to take...i'll get hit in the head with an eaten pinecone...just the core comes at me like a bullet! they have good aim...
:)
haven't been able to open your photos for the last 3 posts, I think it's my computer
Hi Country Mouse - oh boy - that can be scarey! I don't think anything changed at this end - I hope.
Speaking of funny antics. This morning one was hanging on the top of the bird feeder when I opened the door of the retreat. Poor Mr Fuzzytail made a wild leap and landed smack into some very cold water in the birdbath. (EEEEK)!
Good morning Rusty,
As usual, you are providing great eye candy with your wonderful photographs.
I'll be back to keep a watch on your blog.
Thanks for sharing your backyard with us.
Now I see we have Mrs Fuzzytail checking out the bird feeder. Photos later.
