A Time of Change!


The days are much shorter. The baby raccoons are now as big as their parents. Many of the birds have long since departed for warmer places, as have the monarch butterflies. The squirrels are fat and sassier than ever. The chickadees have moved in - you will see a lot of them from now on - I hope. These tiny birds seem fearless and friendly. ATB! More to come.....

I would say those are sure signs of fall.

And the deer have changed from their summer golden brown color to their gray "brush" color...
And besides all that, it's 42* overnight!

fall! fall!! i can't wait for the cooler weather!
had a busy week and am trying to catch up...i always love your pictures...posts...and can see a spider peeking at me from below... :)

I just hope those chickadees will be able to stick around for the winter. Talk about some real characters!
