The Outlook

One of these days I will get a photo of these big birds at the feeder. They are very wary. This one is watching me while his pals fly off in the distance.

Rusty said...: Oops! Sorry about that. It's a very big raven. There are three, perhaps four that visit on a regular basis. Fun to watch too. Only one can eat on the platform at a time - the others have to eat on the ground. It's quite a trick to land on the feeder. Unless the big bird comes down very softly like a helicopter the platform will spring wildly. Swooping in from the side simply tosses the bigger birds off the other side. Only one of them has mastered this trick.; January 28, 2011 at 6:48 PM
