...maybe the cardinals are too fat to fly....
(if the squirrels are any indication of their winter chubbiness!)
:] have a great day!
It's a thought, but don't kid yourself. That pair of Cardinals is fast! The moment they think I'm reaching for my camera - they scram. I'm going to have to get very sneaky to get a photo of them - and the ravens.
I imagine any thing not covered in snow got eaten!
Oddly enough the squirrels have been digging deep into the snow to literally mine more seeds that have been covered with snow and ice. It's going to be a mess to clean up when the snow is gone! All part of the game, I guess.
Hey, Rusty, I don't know if you're familiar with this gal, but I thought I'd give her blog address to check it out for yourself! She's GREAT! Does rescue...:)JP http://thelaughingraccoon.blogspot.com/
Yes, in fact it's listed under 'My Blog List' to the right of the posts. Another interesting place to check is the link for RR6 PUBLIC, listed under 'ON THE WEB'.
ATB!
Those delicious looking berries look to good for the birds. I think I would give them a run for their money :-)
The trouble is, I'm not quite sure what they are. They look too dark to be what we used to call 'bird cherries' - tart but tasty. They do look similar to a low growing plant thats very toxic. Nope -until Iknow what it is i'm not going to test it. Grin.
