Nature in a suburban backyard

Look at those sparkly eyes! Pretty little thing!
Your neighbors will not thank you if you encourage a colony of skunks, though.
There are many skunks in the area as it is. One came by hours later - the smell woke me up it was so strong. Giving the critters a little food made a big differece in the number of times garbage bags were raided and spread all over the place.
I hope your system continues to work!
I wouldn't mind having skunky visitors . . . if I didn't have the dogs.
To be sure. Dogs and skunks - and porcupines don't mix well! Some dogs learn (no fun for the owner) - but some never learn to leave these critters alone. Again no animals thus far tonight. (It's Sunday here). It's damp and chilly. Perhaps they have had their litters and are staying home keeping them warm. The robin has returned and is building her nest on top of the spotlight - again. This is the forth year we have had that one return to the same spot.
