The bleeding heart is the first thing up around here. The raccoons are more or less regular in their visits, though I have not seen Chloe for the past ten days. That may mean she is taking care of a new family. Time will tell. Same with Kimmie. The little skunk has returned, but is still extremely shy. I still hope I can get a picture of the little critter.

On my way home last night in the dark, my headlights fell on what I thought was a raccoon, and thought of you, but it was a porcupine. I'm not sure I've ever seen a wild porcupine.
Very cool.
I don't think there are any in my area. I did see one many years ago in the Laurentians. It was very intent on watching me from the top of a small tree. Thats not a critter I would want to get close to. It's funny though how they actually rattle when they walk.
