Nature in a suburban backyard

you seem to have a pretty good bird sanctuary there.
Robins are so smart.
It seems they love to build their nests on top of light fixtures like that. Probably keeps the nesty nice and toasty on chilly nights!
These are such great photos. I really enjoy your blog. Thanks for sharing your suburban critter friends with us.
Thanks for stopping by, fellow naturalist...I sat in my chair this afternoon and watched a cardinal flit in and out of her nest in the bittersweet vine next to my window...doesn't get much better n this, does it...'cept when the meadowlark is in the top of the walnut tree in the late afternoon, singing melodically to the dusk...I'm in paradise!
This photo made me smile! I love how Robins love to nest on the tops of lights.

Hi Rusty
will the spotlight be able to be used now that Mrs Robin is in residence?
My husband's best friend was a Pringle (in NZ) It is not a very common name there.
Happy days
The spotlight is turned off while the nest is needed. I hope to get some more photos today, I expect the eggs have hatched by now.
ATB! Rusty
